We help you help your patients.
Call Midwest CareCenter at (847) 467-7423 or refer a patient for palliative care, hospice or grief support services online.
Physician oversight and billing
You can receive reimbursement for time you spend overseeing the care of your hospice patients. Medicare and Medicaid allow billing by physicians for Care Plan Oversight. Learn how to code palliative and hospice care billing for reimbursement.
The Hospice and Palliative Medicine Integrated Fellowship is a collaborative effort of Rush University Medical Center, John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County and Midwest Palliative & Hospice CareCenter and is accredited by The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
Visiting professional program
Midwest CareCenter welcomes visits by healthcare professionals who wish to participate in clinical learning opportunities to enhance their understanding of palliative care and hospice.
Midwest CareCenter is committed to educating healthcare and other professionals. We offer experienced professionals trained in adult education who can address a variety of topics related to palliative care, end-of-life healthcare and hospice. Some of our speakers are nationally certified trainers with the EPEC Project (Education on Palliative and End-of-Life Care) of Northwestern University and/or with ELNEC (End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium) of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing.
In-service education is offered for employees of healthcare facilities, professional groups, pastoral or clinical staff. Social work CEUs are available for some of the presentations.
